The Santa Clara Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, was organized March 4, 1926 , and is based in Santa Clara Valley, California. Once called "The Valley of Heart's Delight," now called "The Silicon Valley," today's Santa Clara Valley is predominantly an urban area. Fortunately, when there were people with vision to establish industry in order to feed people's minds and bodies, there were also those who foresaw the need to feed people's souls. There are still a few orchards that bloom gloriously each spring. We have open spaces preserved in the hills so we can still enjoy nature's gifts. There are magnificent redwood forests in the nearby Santa Cruz mountains, and there are trails, parks, and wildlife preserves along the San Francisco Bay. We in the DAR honor our ancestors who helped to found our country. It is important for us to remember that what was done in the past affects our lives today. What we do today will affect the lives of those who follow us. Today's DAR See what the DAR is doing today. Check out our channel on YouTube!
